You have a full marketing tool with all the features you need under one app instead of having to use several different apps and then trying to connect them all together.
I wish the website chat had more intelligence to it like Intercom where you could better brand it and develop auto-responses and what not.

I like the capability of being able to create multiple email sequences and tracking open rates. It helps me to figure out which lead magnets are most effective.
The reporting is a little clunky sometimes. Active Campaign staff has been really helpful in explaining where to find the information I need. I appreciate their support!
The ability to send pre-sequence multiple emails saves us a bunch of time! The email sequences, or as they call "Automations" are efficient. We add the number of days in between and conditions of which emails to receive based on opens.
First thing is the price, I follow many project and different company, many of them don't have a big budget at the beginning, but with Active Campaign they can start to make the most important thing: store their leads in a safe and scalable crm and last but not least automation, you have your automation working from the lite plan, and in a way that is really easy to understand and work with.
Modules and Module Editor are too technical for an average user and the don't offer a visual editor or a templates library to choose in. This is a little thing that could be solved with few steps and could make the difference.
I can manage my leads and store his details in a safe and organized place, and the high felxibility that I have using tags is perfect to manage every communication and the building process for new offers extremely easy.

The strong point of activecampaign are certainly the automations. I have yet to find any platform that allows ActiveCampaign's degree of freedom.
The cost is certainly high compared to competitors, but it is justified. The biggest flaw at the moment are the loading times between screens which, if they were shorter, would make the experience more dynamic and usable

I'm able to create very personalized marketing automations for almost everything I could think of (emails, slack notifications, SMS, and even webhooks)
I'm not a big fan of the User Interface. It is intuitive, but sometimes it just doesn't feel modern.
It solves marketing problems like automation, contact lists, and segmentation. It even includes a simple CRM that triggers automations too.
I love the visualisation of automations, illustrated with a flowchart. Email builder is great too.
V minor niggle. Automation emails don't show in 'campaigns' - they have to be entered again. Can see this is probably only an issue in my particular use case.

The Easy way to create segments of may clients, working with tags as well as with data collected during the customers journey with me. Also personal data like gender, adress or first touch point.
I work with one main list, wich I segment for my mails. But during the creation of a campaign I can not see who exactly will receive a mail, since active campaign draws these data from the main list, which contains also inactive contacts. This is a bit confusing.
I helps me adress my clients personally. Since I am a couple coach this is important to generate trust. In German I can write diferent mails for men an women using a different word for mail partner or female partner. This gives them the feeling that it is not a mail written to lots of other people but to them personally.
The best thing about ActiveCampaign is its wide range of integrations and the variety of automations you can create. It makes it perfect for beginners because its visual interface for dragging and dropping conditions, triggers and actions is very straightforward. I've tested other alternatives, and I'd definitely recommend ActiveCampaign for someone who's starting now!
ActiveCampaign's platform can sometimes be slow to work with. It takes time to load campaigns and navigate through different pages. Also, there could be more detailed reports for campaigns and automations - they are good for beginners but lack more advanced analysis.

The automations are very powerful and easy to understand. The API allows us to connect AC to our other applications to load contacts in, so once we build some automations we can really set it and forget it, letting Active Campaign do all the work.
The only complaint I have about Active Campaign is the email designer – The classic designer is very frustrating to use, but the new designer doesn't allow for full-width emails, which you can make look a lot more personal.
It takes the time out of email marketing, and allows us to basically "set it and forget it"! I can definitely attribute a lot of our sales to our email campaigns, and I used to send them manually in outlook. So a lot of time is saved, we can do stuff in larger numbers, and generally get better results.
