system allow you build templates for pages and place them in different kind of content on the pages
high complexity AEM is build on uniques structure requires a fair bit of knowledge from end users
it is a enterprice content managent system at my work
Great interface to manage content quickly and inemediata that helps the marketing department to reduce time and distribute content at high speed providing flexibility to workers.
Adaptive web design I personally think that it does not optimize elements like the design, the size of the text, in the way that it should adapt. This presents some problems when the customer chooses how they should be.
One of the benefits you have is that it has fewer incidents and more escalation and security in the cloud. The cloud is the key. Thanks to the cloud you can really manage content at the business level, and get privacy and scaling.
I work a lot on creating content for multiple websites, which means keeping track of different home pages, content, and having fast turn around. When use AEM, it makes my edits visible while I'm making edits. In the editor, I have a clear view of how my content is going to be presented once I publish it.
I'm still new using this and it's intimidating to know that if I push something into the system, that everyone else in my team and company will see it. This means if I make certain mistakes, people will know it was my mistake. I'm sure this feeling will go away once I get more comfortable using the software.
I work with multiple teams at once, one problem I was having was working in conjunction with other content managers and us not being able to collaborate as effectively as I would like. This helps us work well together.
Love the functionality with ease of use.
A tad on the costly side but definitely worth it.
It has allowed me to eliminate some HR procedures while allowing for ease of use
It makes editing content more easy and organized! I love the fact that it's connected to the cloud!
It's perfect. No complaints at the moment!
Helps me maintain organization with my project files.
AEM is leader in WCM and DAM. It has seamless integration with Social and Digital Analytics. It can interface with other cloud services like translation, search and promote etc.
it has a steep learning curve. Its licences are expensive and horizontal scaling becomes a challenge
We are trying to build a website where managing content and digital assets are easy and intuitive
the ease of doing personalized content and marketing. offers great features, but packaging it as part of a suite is not idea. there's also more customization needed to get the campaign setup.
the reporting of page views and campaign management reports are not great. It offers the features but not a core product. the customization can be a heavy operational overhead to maintain. if the campaign management used for personalization had a better view for all the promotions, it would be great to use. Also any reports plug-ined into the campaign would be great for business stakeholders.
content marketing and personalization. serving the right content at the right time has great value to leads. this allows more customization capabilities for doing more content marketing and creating a personalized set of campaigns.
It was really easy to pick up. There's a great resource of online courses that will get you going in a week even if you have never used it before. I also like how its very easy to customize the dialogs.
I found that if you were doing something that involved a lot of customization (in terms of forms, etc) it was a bit complex. Editing java files was a pain because the online editor didn't support changing. Also you have to sync your online editor with your editor in eclipse, which sometimes was frustrating if you forget and end up loosing your changes.
We wanted to customize the clients entire Websphere based site to this content management site. We wanted to customize dialogs and be able to customize forms. The challenges we faced were the client only wanted specific looks to be change between using the dialog boxes. So it was a lot of "if the box template is chosen, these 3 options will appear." Overall it was a success from a developers' standpoint. As far as benefits goes, I can see that you can use this to easily create a page even if you have no development experience. It's the most straight forward content management utility I have seen (as in I was able to figure out with little help how to add different sections to the page and customize them).
Ease of use is the best thing about adobe manager
Sometimes it crashes multiple times. Also, needs a very internet connection, does not comply well with internet in India
Easy integration of different features helps ke work faster
smooth and elegant to create and manage experiences across channels.
It is expensive both in lisence fees and resource setup
Helping in multi channel content delivery
I liked the robust content management capabilities allowing the users to create and manage content across multiple channels, such as websites, apps and digital displays.
AEM is a resource-intensive platform, and its performance can be affected by factors such as the size of the content repository, the complexity of workflows, the number of concurrent users, etc.
It helped in leveraging customer data and helped in delivering personalised experience to the entire customer base. It also provided a tool to target specific audience segments by tailoring content based on user behaviour and preferences.
It is very customizable and easily scalable. It allows my developers to create experiences that go beyond what our clients can imagine.
It's not always the most user friendly or straightforward to use. It has a high learning curve in order to be able to understand and use.
It allows my clients to have a customizable and scalable website with very complex features and helps my developers to have a framework that works easily for them.
It's one of the most useful tools from the Adobe suite to manage front end websites . It is user friendly once the user gets comfortable with using AEM. Drag and drop feature is very useful!
The UI can be improved. It can be complicated for a new user to navigate and know which tools and features are to be used. Easy pop ups mentioning the use of the feature will be helpful!
It solves the Web content management issue for us. We save time by using components for the various website pages just by authoring and publishing the content directly. It's easy to ensure streamlined content and regular updates
There are of course advantages to having all your ecommerce and web hosting needs powered by a single provider, and this is the main value proposition of Adobe Experience Cloud.
The interface isn't always the most intuitive and still feels like a work in progress in some respects. Users accustomed to CMS sites like WordPress will find those to feel much more streamlined.
We run a large-scale, robust ecommerce operation, and there's a need for a streamlined platform that encompasses both the shopping cart side of things and the static content portion. Having a GUI interface for less advanced users is crucial as well.
Asset management is a best thing I can say, one robust tool with multiple integration like target analytics, audiance manger, social media what not.
Long refresh time after adding the components.
Experience fragments do wonders as we can update multiple pages by updating one EF
What I like best about AEM is that you can quickly update the components.
It sometimes takes a while before the AEM loads completely.
When there's a need to update the content of the website, AEM helps in allowing its users to apply the necessary builds right away.
I like the easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface and pre-created templates that are available the most.
I don't have any dislikes at the moment.
We were using the Adobe Experience Manager to build and manage the company website.
I like that Adobe is one of the most top-notch and best performing products on the market. It allows for more flexibility with their products and provide some of the best training experiences.
It can be complex based on how the CMS is built surrounding the company and their required specs for it, and if you don't have any familiarity with high-functioning HTML, it will be very hard to grasp and understand.
The business problems I solved with Adobe Experience Manager were high-level experiences for a developing team to help with a newly designed website, along with content migration.
It is one stop solution for all the content, digital and cloud management services.
Issues while dealing with excel format docs.
Quick viewing of pre built reports.
AEM gives marketers the tools needed to take control of the organization's marketing website. No longer do you need an IT request with a 4 week lead time to get site changes made. AEM allows changes to be made in days instead of weeks.
The platform can be laggy and crashes often and usability depends on your organization's custom implementation.
With an in-house CMS it takes weeks to implement changes to a marketing site. With AEM these changes can be implemented in a day.
