It automatically grabs all my to-do list items and squeezes them into the time that exists for me. It's helped me to know what's realistic and what's not because very often I'm trying to fit in more than is physically possible with my time.

It only schedules things in for 2 weeks at a time. I feel like it could schedule my whole year, but I'd be happy if it could do 6 weeks...or just up to where my to-do list ends.

I have a lot of ideas, and run multiple businesses. I used to write lists that I would feel overwhelmed by or would lose. Motion helps me get my ideas moving by scheduling them in and helps me know what area I have time to focus on and when. You know when you've only got 30 mins left in a day and you're not sure what you can fit in that time? Motion tells you.

I wish I could see my schedule out at least a month in advance. I also wish it would integrate with iCal.

The auto-scheduling is my favorite feature. After I carefully tend my tasks, I go to my calendar to see what I should do next, and Motion tells me. Not much thought is required on what to do to achieve my large and small goals together. Requires less thought to get more done.

It's pricey. Even with the annual subscription, which I have, I feel that the cost is high compared to its competitors who don't have the auto-scheduling feature.

Motion is helping me solve the problem of when to do the tasks in my to-do list. Lots of project management tools can help me catpure what to do, but this is the only one that suggests when I should do them. With the way that Motion connects to my work calendar, I can see if I have too many tasks this week, or if I actually have spare time at the end of the week if I work hard enough. Helping me understand if I have not-enough-time or a little extra time is a valuable insight.

Motion allows me to condense my day, and be more productive.

It doesn't work well with dependent tasks. It's implemented in projects, but it doesn't always do what you would hope.

Motion acts as a basic project manager in scheduling tasks based on importance and deadline around the meetings and events with fixed times. More importantly, when something new pops up or something changes, Motion reschedules all the tasks FOR you. You don't have to spend a ton of time rejuggling everything. And more importantly, it will tell you when you have run OUT of time. Which is a great moment to reprioritise or seek out assistance or delegation.

The lack of integrations with things like project management tools and zapier, despite being heavily requested but the community, has been frustrating to work around. The interface could be more user friendly with views of which Possible, but it is creating some double entry which reduces the time saving benefits of Motion

I use motions appointment scheduling for internal meetings that make more sense to lump together with similar tasks and dont need as much interaction from a scheduling software. Motion is really great at that. Then of course it acts as my task master once Ivedone all the brainstorming as to what the tasks are, along with dependencies.

I find that motion has added significant extra time to my day. The system is well designed and intelligent with my schedule

Sometimes they put out too many upgrades... not the worst thing!

I loved starting to use Motion. It took me 1-2 hours to gather all my to-do lists and Google Tasks, organise them and input them. After that, I could already feel the pressure of doing work off me shoulders. I stopped thinking "Should I prioritize this task or that one??" It gave me a lot of anxiety to consantly re-asking myself the same questions...

I think I'd like to be able to input task in High-Medium-Low priority WITHOUT having to also input a deadline. A lot of my tasks don't have deadlines but still have a priority order. I tried giving them deadlines 6 month from now but my OCD really didn't like to have "false" deadline. I'd love to be able to give priority order without deadlines.

Helping me organise my days without having to go through all my to-do lists everyday. It gave me confidence that I'm constantly working on what I should be doing at the moment. A lot of stress off my shoulders.

Motion helps me keep my day (and life) significantly more organized - and when a curveball is thrown my way, Motion allows me to adapt my time without losing a beat.

The cost is a bit higher than I would prefer; however, it hard to complain with the time that I save.

Motion allows me to better schedule my day, especially with the numerous conflicting tasks (and varied priorities/deadlines) that are constantly changing as my day changes around me.

It is a little on the pricier side, especially as I started using it as a college student. Also, there are still some bugs. Nothing that totally ruins the experience, but it can make things a little slow.

I love how seamlessly Motion connects with my different calendars and accounts. The fact that i can create a meeting from within motion, which then creates a zoom link for me and sends it to my contacts, and then moves my tasks around this newly created meeting is fantastic

I think that with all the additions to the app, it is now in a place where it is so fully featured that it might be overwhleming for a new user. Having gotten in on the "ground floor" of the app development when it was pretty basic, i have been able to keep up with the updates to it and it is not as overwhelming for me at the moment, but i feel like new users might not have the same experience.

I love that i do not have to go back and forth with a client when trying to schedule a meeting. I can send them a link to my calendar, and they can pick a time that suits them and get a zoom link automatically created for that

The ability to create a schedule without having to think about what to do next.

Recurring tasks can not be edited further like changing out priority like ASAP or need to happen without fail.

It has liberated my mind from constantly stressing about getting my todos finished in time -> my tasks are scheduled and inconsistencies are flagged. My mind is clear thanks for Motion.

Since they've added the project management features, I've been a bit lost, and Motion has as well. Some of my tasks got lost and I had to go dig them up. Dependencies don't seem to get scheduled and stuff got lost on the wayside as a results. Dissappointing. Maybe a good tutorial would help?

The scheduling system is really great, I schedule most of my meetings that way. Would be great to have an option for 'inperson' vs 'online' meetings. In terms of productivity, on those days where you don't know where to start, Motion will tell you where to start and that is priceless.

It helps me understand my time better and assists in prioritization. I like the warning feature that lets me know if something won't meet a target deadline so I can rearrange or let others know we need to push a deadline. The project feature is great, along with the ability to trigger tasks based on the completion of others. I would love it if that could be integrated with recurring tasks as well

Motion doesn't hold completed tasks on the calendar, so I can't go back and see how I spent my time after the fact. If I don't keep it updated, it obviously can't prioritize correctly, but updating becomes a task unto itself. It took some time to get clear on how Motion prioritizes tasks- sometimes I disagree with the assessment, so to get my calendar to match my priorities, I have to tinker with the settings on my tasks until they fit my desired priority ranking The app is the biggest obstacle- it takes a long time to sync, and calendars frequently drop from it entirely, so I don't have visibility to my meetings when I'm trying to make plans away from my desktop. It also only keeps info updated for two weeks, and I need visibility well beyond a 2-week timeframe at my fingertips.

Task planning- it takes the planning out of when something will be accomplished, and I know it will make sure all my tasks take place before their deadline, taking stress of my shoulders to order things properly.

They automatically help you to reschedule your tasks if you don't complete them. This is very useful if you aren't good at estimating how long it takes to complete your tasks or if you easily get distracted by other events

The desktop app can be buggy at times and is not as fast as I would like it to be. Hence, there are I am too lazy to organise my tasks and i end up not using motion for a week or so. The unusable mobile app also makes me use Motion less

Motion helps to automatically reschedule tasks that I dont complete and helps to find a time for everything. To be honest, what it really helps me with is to assure me that I can get my stuff done at the start of the week or whenever I try to organise my stuff

I like the idea of being able to just dump tasks in as soon as I think of them and leave it to the AI to schedule everything. I also really like the calender scheduling feature that creates snippets, I would pay just for that feature.

There are a bunch of obviously missing features (e.g searching your tasks) and a lot of bugs. It used to be a web-app/chrome extension and the switch to desktop is strictly worse. The desktop app still requires internet access to function at all so there's little benefit to the desktop version and things like the task banner no longer appear where you're working.
