The capacity of the platform to deliver thorough and precise statistics on website traffic, audience behavior, and marketing channels is what we enjoy best about Similarweb. With the help of Similarweb, we can monitor how well our clients' websites perform.
The accuracy of the data is sometimes limited, especially when the websites are new. Comparting 5 websites is the limit which should be maybe reconsidered. Providing flexibility in this area could be useful.
Our marketing performance and data extraction process has significantly improved, with the help of SimilarWeb. We have been able to track the success of our competitors, better understand our audience, and find new growth opportunities thanks to SimilarWeb's extensive data and insights.
The insights are very useful for our clients. They like to see how they fare against competitors in various things such as traffic, channels, media mix, creative and spend.
Because the metrics are estimations, some clients get hung up on the fact that the traffic or device distribution shown in SimilarWeb doesn't match the metrics in Google Analytics. It can cause real issues with some clients, although most understand!
Similarweb encourages our clients to spend more by showing them what their competitors are doing e.g. investment in social, display or content. As a result of this we upsell new services or increase channel spends.
I like how the tool shows my market and competitors
I like the competitive tracker's function, but when I click on some of the charts, I would like to have the chance to play with other functions as the dashboard function allows
It help me to understand market share and how our competitors can beat us on our back yard. Also, Understand what we need to improve in channels that we are not strong enough.
Similarweb is an incredibly comprehensive market intelligence tool, which is great for analysing website performance against industry competitors and whole industries. Each section of the platform has useful features from Competitive Research to Market Analysis, providing users with all of the information you need.
Similarweb is an incredible platform, but the only area, which has already been recognised by Similarweb, is the ability to analyse website traffic for all devices, in particular through their Website Segment Analysis feature. However, new features are constantly being released by Similarweb with US mobile data already available, so hopefully this will be expanded to other markets in the near future.
Similarweb helps us benchmark brands against industry competitors. Through applying a one size fits all methodology approach to measuring website traffic, Similarweb is a very useful tool for any agency to use.
I love to use it for keyword discovery and to understand where people are going on a competitors site.
There's a lot of functionality there and it can be tough to navigate.
Learning how my competitors are marketing their sites and copying what works.
- Excellent UI: easy to use and navigate - Custom Dashboarding: user-friendly and intuitive feature, making it easy to gather competitive intelligence - All in One: one-stop-shop for competitive and digital marketing intelligence, allowing us to stay ahead of the competition by utilizing data-driven insights (which we can share with our executive management team)
- Ad Creative Research: it seems a bit inaccurate when looking at our profile (but most tools in the space are) - Referral Traffic: it would be helpful to split referral traffic into different segments (affiliate traffic, true referrals - word of mouth, etc.)
- Tracking our competitor's performance and mix shift in ad channels/creatives/keywords/etc. (allows us to stay on top of trends in our market)
Easy to use and navigate - it is quite self-explanatory on how to use the tool The comparison option is also very helpful when deciding which partner performs best according to website analysis data.
when comparing websites that you yan only compare a max. of 5 sites It would be more helpful to compare more than that if one has to decide from a portfolio of websites to choose the best possible site. Furthermore, it would be nice if the website category could be changed by request because some classifications do not match. Was not able to find the source of the metrics visits, etc. as they do not seem to match eg. Google Analytics Data from the sites.
Similarweb solves the problem of not being able to compare smaller, local websites as they are often not measured by eg. ÖWA or other studies. This is quite helpful when clients want to have an offer evaluation of special interest cooperations.
I like the demographic and the new demographics 2.0 the most. This is the one tools that I know that provide this kind of insights and help us as a media agency to idetify the right media channel for our client.
Most of the feature on Similarweb is good for me. If I may ask, I would ask for more comprehensive SEO, advertising features and more apps insights especially on IOS that will make our life as an agency media planner work much easier.
SimilarWeb is primarily useful for website & application traffic analysis and audience insights, offering wide range of data on website traffic, user engagement, and online audience behavior. It heps us gain competitive and market digital intelligence to service our client. Keyword research and SEO auditing in Similarweb also beneficial to me as it is an another feature that provide us more search insight and help us improve our serach plan and capability to provide strategic keyword direction to our paid search campaign more that just using Google search planner.
Similarweb is really helpful to collect growth insights. The tool is core to develop new SEM strategies and to have monthly inputs regarding competitors behavior.
Some paid features are really expensive, and basic needed for kickoff. The pricing should be done in an all you can eat model, to avoid lack of data in the middle of a deep analysis.
Similarweb is helping us to detect new keywords possibilities and also to develop content strategy based on the top performer SEO keywords for the B2B market that our company belongs.
Similarweb is an excellent tool for digital marketers and website owners who want to track and analyze the performance of their online presence. The platform offers valuable data and information that can help inform and guide strategic decisions. One of Similarweb's distinguishing features is its user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to access the information you need and understand your website's performance. The platform also offers a wide range of data sources, including referral traffic, organic search and paid search data, providing a comprehensive view of your online performance. Another great feature of Similarweb is the ability to compare your website's performance to that of your competitors. This information can help you identify areas where you can improve your online presence and stay ahead of the competition. Overall, I highly recommend Similarweb to anyone looking for a comprehensive and user-friendly tool to track and analyze their website's performance and to compare themselves to their competitors. Similarweb provides valuable information and data to help you achieve your online goals.
The universe proposed by SimilarWeb is so rich that the neophyte can quickly find himself lost in front of an impressive quantity of Dashboards and indicators without a discovery phase with a CSM Maybe the data is killing the data.
Similarweb is solving several key problems for its users, including: Lack of visibility into website performance: Similarweb provides a comprehensive view of website performance, including referral traffic, organic search, and paid search data, so that users can see how their website is performing and identify areas for improvement. Difficulty comparing website performance to competitors: Similarweb's competitive analysis features allow users to compare their website's performance to that of their competitors, giving them valuable insights into what they need to do to stay ahead.
SimilarWeb offers comprehensive and highly informative insights on digital marketing. The custom dashboarding feature is user-friendly, making it easy to gather competitive intelligence. The level of detail provided for search keywords and display placements is impressive. The Ad Creative Research aspect is extremely beneficial for analyzing the effectiveness of display campaigns and monitoring pixel conversion. Overall, SimilarWeb serves as a one-stop-shop for competitive and digital marketing intelligence, allowing you to stay ahead of the competition by utilizing data-driven insights.
While SimilarWeb offers a substantial amount of data on competitive intelligence and website statistics, it could benefit from enhancing visibility for SEO, PPC, and social media metrics. Additionally, there is a two-day delay in the data feed as it relies on web crawling to gather information from the internet. Although it provides directional, high-level marketing insights, this can sometimes lead to a high margin of error when analyzing campaigns in real-time.
SimilarWeb assists me in tracking and comparing my competitors' search and display campaigns. The incoming visits data provides valuable insights for determining the volume of media buying. The Keywords tool is extremely useful for user acquisition on the search network, providing detailed information at the browser level. The media buying research offers a comprehensive list of suitable publishers and monetization network details for ad campaigns.
I love the ease and accessiblility of gaining insights into traffic share for competitive brand analyses! It is such a pivotal tool to our digital insights work
More visuals for aesthetic pleasure would be nice, but other than that I can't fault the tool! The segments for analyses are super clear but sometimes I get confused and have to re-explore the platform!
I can track traffic share to our clients websites but also analyse competitors to feedback insights and see search growth across a certain market and identify which websites are performing well.
It is suprisingly accurate. For real. We compared result of our multiple websites between SimilarWeb and Google Analytics and differences were on a fully acceptable level. If quality of all data is similar... it will be your crystal ball. You know your customers, you know your competitors. I also really enjoy intuitive export features - excel tables are well aggregated and in couple of clicks you can transform them into PPT ready graphs!
Interface, just a little bit. Despite modern feeling a whole UX is a bit out of date and for non-digital natives may look complicated and non intuitive. My recommendation - differentiate interface for "pro" and "regular" user. Create one view with deep dive, super detailed and advanced, and another - much more simple, for high level data.
Two things. First - probably most obvious and common - tracking our competitors and other e-retailers. Working in a specific industry without any benchmark, keeping website traffic and conversion as a real secret and a weapon having a chance to look (quite accurately) into competitor's results - that's amazing :) Second - keyword planning and tracking phrases popularity in Google. Ok, that's what for Google Keyword Planner was made, but I really like option of importing keyword batches, keyword suggestion mechanism and comparing keywords across websites.
Quick competitor info, Great visual design.
Accuracy of data, local industry filters
Understanding competition in a flash, designed data outlays
Audience interests: allows users to see what users of a particular website or app are interested in, based on the websites and apps they visit.
Limited data on certain websites: SimilarWeb may not have data on all websites and apps, particularly those that are new or have low traffic.
SimilarWeb tracks metrics such as time on site and bounce rate, which can helps us understand how engaged users are with our website.
I like the most that i can check out at partner level the search campaigns that they do and find out the KWs that drove traffic to these campaigns. It completes the view that i have from the partners' google datastudio campaigns' view. I also like that i can create segments on partner' sites among my company and its competitors and to monitor the traffic is coming to the website in these segments.
Maybe the navigation is a bit confusing, especially the tab for competitive trackers and the tab for the dashboard. I think that perhaps these two could be incorporated under one section.
When i don't have visibility on the partner's search campaigns because the partners are not sharing this data, I can go in similar web and check the campaigns they are doing for HP and the competitive brands. Also, when i want to find KWs for the partners' search campaigns, when they cooperate with us on this, i can search what similar or competitor partners are using in their campaigns and propose to the partners to start bidding on these too. Finally, the segment analysis helps me to deep dive on the traffic that our products bring on our partners' websites but also to monitor the competitive products and the traffic they bring.
Reports generated by similarweb dashboard is very comprehensive, it is so easy to generate and understand.
Haven't found any such issues with this tool yet.
Similarweb is helping us in solving issues related to market research and competitive analysis, it helps us in understanding the market sentiments, people are consuming what kind of data users are consuming, where they are, which age group we should target etc.
Similarweb offers so many tools and datapoints that are extremely insightful and valuable for running a business.
While the data is extremely useful, it's difficult to get comprehensive recent data (within the last month).
It helps us better understand where our business fits in our industry as a whole.
The most helpful and valued features of our Similarweb subscription include (1) comprehensive analytics and excellent, real-time competitor insight; (2) the superb customer support from Similarweb; and (3) the user-friendly dashboards and data displays. We have worked with a competitor product to Similarweb in the past, and the complex terminology and confusing data-displays were very time-consuming to navigate. The best part about Similarweb is the practical insights you get on SEO, browsing behaviour/performance, industry and competitor trends - absolutely priceless insight in the age of digital-first!
I don't think I dislike anything - it's the best tool I've used so far and even our novice users get to understand and use it very rapidly. The user-friendly and intuitive design leaves no excuse to leave analytics out of your decision-mkaing!
Similarweb helps us solve questions around optimising our digital presence across SEO, digital advertising, website performance and overall marketing strategy, as we generate a lot of customer/consumer insight and competitor insight with the analytics we get from Similarweb, in real-time. It helps us with benchmarking our performance against competitors and see who are possibly our 'hidden' competitors and what segments they (or us) perform best/worst with.
Getting data and insight on other competitors.
I like the different features. Similar web provides.
It can be a little overwhelming sometimes with all the information and different features.
