I love that Smartsheet can be updated in real-time by multiple users. Gone are the days when updates were lost because another user was logged into the document you wanted to work on. There is no need to download a copy to edit or view a read-only version. Just log in and make needed updates with confidence!

While it is very similar to using Microsoft Excel, the keyboard shortcuts are not the same and there are times I forget which platform I am working in and have to readjust my actions. Also, selecting multiple rows is not as efficient as in Excel, but overall Smartsheet is GREAT for long-distance teams working together.

Smartsheet has given our company a way for global teams to collaborate and store data for shipments needing import permits overseas, keeping track of tasks and costs involved, warehouse scheduling and more!

The organization and the usability of the application. It is a very useful tool for anyone or any organization!

I wish it didn't glitch and move data when two or more persons are entering new fields/data!

I love to use it as a project management tool. I like the way it is user-friendly. It is helpful to keep everything in one place and control operating tasks. Keeping everyone on a project in check with one communication is essential. It is also great that Smartsheet integrates with OneNote.

Pages should be able to update in real time. IT would be helpful if Smartsheet offered a free in depth tutorial on the overall system. It would be great to get certified in SmartSheet as well but it has to be affordable if your company isn't willing to pay for it.

One of the keys to good project management is communication. Smartsheet allows for an easy, user-friendly way to communicate with key stakeholders. Use of Smartsheet has helped to set a standard of how everyone should organize their projects. Having multiple people utilize the tool allows for familiarity no matter which project manager you work with. It helps the users see the big picture and understand how their task(s) fit into the big picture.

It's great for communal use between employees. It's easy to keep various departments and lists organized. It allows updates to be made in real time.

When a sheet becomes obsolete, and you're receiving notifications about that sheet; the unsubscribe feature does not work. I still receive daily for an obsolete sheet.

Smartsheets allows for all of our departments (project management, engineering, the shop, finishing, customer service) to communicate effectively, and have access to the same information on any project. It reduces redundant emails and miscommunication. It also helps expedite solutions for projects as information can be updated and information disseminated to necessary parties with less hassle.

The ease of use and how I'm able to update my project. The dynamic platform has allowed me to manage multiple projects at one time. This allow me to manage multiple projects easily.

I'd love it if it has more program management templates. I manage multiple projects within a program so having more opportunities related to program and portfolio management will help me even more.

Before Smartsheet our project managers used Microsoft Project to create schedule that only acted as baselines to compare against our actual progress and it was up to them to chase down data and reports and compile the status of the projects on their own. Now, with Smartsheet, we're able to create baselines, then empower individual contributors to keep the schedules up to date with their actual progress. Progress and statuses are automatically fed through reports into dashboards that empower managers to quickly evaluate their teams standing. Public dashboards empower indirect stakeholders to keep track of projects without taking up the time of direct stakeholders and contributors. Smartsheets has even been utilized by teams outside the typical project workflow for things like material requests or issue reporting through the use of Smartsheet forms, The biggest thing for me when comparing Smartsheet to other similar platforms is not just that Smartsheet is more powerful and has more features, but it's extremely intuitive and easy for new users to navigate and use.

Other tools allow contributors to actually clock in and clock out of tasks for time tracking. This is extremely important for jobs that are billed by the hour and currently Smartsheet does not have this. This forces us to use two different tools for project management, one for tracking hours and one for tracking progress.

Smartsheet is easy to use and learn. There are many resources available to bolster and build skills! It allows me to work effectively with internal and external partners!

Smartsheet allows me to work with internal and external people who use the state data system I manage. The end-users of my data system visit my Smartsheet page to request changes, make suggestions, access training materials and request new accounts.

My favorite part about Smartsheet is how it opened communication across our 7 locations. Now everyone can see where an order is in the process. It's also made us more efficient, and we can give more accurate lead times to our sales staff.

If viewers/commenters could get access to create and keep their filters, it would be beneficial for us. About half of the users are viewers or commenters and can't have their filters saved in Smartsheet. Also, the calendar view in reports could have the task bars change colors as it does on the source sheet. It would help us in our installation department immensly.

Smartsheet has helped us be more transparent between the sales staff and production. This allows sales to give accurate timelines to the customers. It also allows us to be more flexible between production facilities, as now we can assign work to a facility via Smartsheet in seconds. Our communication across the 7 locations has dramatically improved. It also helps us document notes on orders and store them for future reference.

I love that smartsheet is user friendly and how easy the automatic set up is!

Smartsheet functions just keep getting better!

Smartsheet has significantly streamlined many of our communication work flows in administration.

It is user-friendly; however, it looks impressive.

I would like to see more automation in structuring daily information.

I love that Smartsheet is a low-code option to streamline processes, centralize resources, and build workflows within one application. We no longer need to jump between apps. I also appreciate the usability and training resources. Employees who have never used Smartsheet are building tools independently on Day 1. Meanwhile, our team of developers organized the company's most complicated processes quickly. Smartsheet regularly improves the product, and we can seamlessly add new features to existing toolsets. I also prefer using Smartsheet in my home life because it's so easy and fun.

I'm concerned the cost is not competitive as companies like Microsoft bundle and improve their product.

It's also helped us to stay organized in a dynamic environment and improved our cross-functional communication.

The sheet automation features provide options to manage large amounts of data within multiple sheets and by various users with predefined rules, limiting extra steps and room for error. Equally, I appreciate the form feature that allows for a simplified view and sheet protection when collecting data from outside sources.

The learning curve! There is so much capability within the software. Unless you are a data guru, the average person has a lot to learn. The training provided felt fast and challenging to retain and then implement. A true beginner course may help to bridge the gap.

Information is now seamlessly shared between departments that otherwise failed to communicate in the past. Automation features ensure all parties have the information necessary for the department's specific needs.

Utilizing a live document with co-workers that is not Google centric is key for our business needs. The ability to create dashboards, assign tasks, and keep track of budgets is key for my day-to-day activities and SmartSheets fills this gap.

I wish that SmartSheets had the same functionalities as Excel or had a glossary of equations that can be used. Having to navigate on what can be transferred between Excel and SmartSheets can sometimes be tricky to understand.

The ability to have a live document that can be shared across all team members. Being able to create and share dashboards containing high level stats to C-Suite members is also very valuable.

Like Smartsheet's versatility. We use it to accomplish many tasks to help run our business internally as well as with our customers. The ability to securely share information real-time with others at our company and with our customers is invaluable.

Smartsheet is so versatile that you may try to use it for things that you should not. Think through your use case thoroughly before commencing your Smartsheet endeavors.

We use it for the forecasting and staffing of our resources. We use it to generate our backlog reports for our sold customer revenue. We use it to manage our customer projects.

It is extremely helpful way to organize the projects and tasks. The different templates for different purposes are great!

I wish there was a way to have mulitple tabs of smartsheet in the same worksheet.

Smartsheet lacks much of the formatting and data manipulation functionality found in excel. While it works well for project plans and documentation, it would be nice to be able to do more with data.

Integration with Smartsheet with other tools, like Power BI for example as well as SankeyMatic graphing would be nicer. From my experience there is room for improvement here, I know there are work arounds...however very cumbersome. Resource Manager also seems to be difficult as well.

Project and Program management are the biggest things that Smartsheet is helping me solve, also the visualization of graphs in tremendous in me helping executives in "whats going on" with projects/programs
